The New World
I was over at the history channels web site and was checking out the this day in history section, and noticed that this week Columbus landed in the Bahamas. Thats not the interesting part. The interesting part is the photo that they put with the story. My only bet is that it was one of Warhol’s early works. Columbus looks like a cross dresser, and there are all these men in velvet dresses bowing and waving flags. Th other really scary part is the taxi driver-esqe Priest telling the natives out of frame that he is coming for them. Here is the pic:
